Elizabeth + Gary | Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

At the end of May, our families took a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We love the beach and all it has to offer. When you are a photographer and you go on vacation with your family, it makes perfect sense to devote an evening taking portraits of your sister and her boyfriend in beautiful locations. I mean just look at these two; they are destined to be models!  Liza and I started planning the perfect outfit combos for her and Gary.  We found this gorgeous blush flowy skirt from Amazon, and it is now my favorite wardrobe piece.  This skirt was magical during their session.  Gary pulled off his look by purchasing his blazer from Good Will!  Can you believe he found such a gem at Good Will?  Together, they looked absolutely adorable!

We wanted to visit unique locations to really capture the essence of South Carolina. We called around to several local parks and gardens to find the perfect spot for the shoot we were envisioning. We finally choose two locations. After speaking with the event coordinator from Wachesaw Plantation Club, we knew we had to take some evening portraits at their venue.   The property is perched on a hillside overlooking the river and is surrounded by gorgeous tall trees with Spanish moss. This created the perfect romantic backdrop for our portrait session!

Liza and Gary are so darn cute together! When we began our session they couldn’t stop laughing. Their joyful smiles were captivating. It’s clear to see that Liza lights up Gary’s world. All she has to do is look at him and he can’t help but smile. The way they interact is so playful and cute. It’s so refreshing to see a couple that can be playful and cute one minute, and then can be sweet and romantic the next minute. They were such naturals in front of the camera once they were really warmed up. I’m so happy my sister has found someone who makes her as happy as Gary does!

For our final location, we traveled to Huntington State Park. This location was absolutely amazing and had so much to offer. We enjoyed the soft white sand and the cotton candy colored sky at sunset. It was such a calm evening for portraits. We were able to capture some of our favorites at this location. There weren’t too many people on the beach during our session, so it looked as though Gary and Liza had their own private beach. We had such a blast capturing these sweet moments!  Thanks for being such great models you two! Enjoy some of our favorites from our time with them.
