Mr. and Mrs. Smith | The Millbottom | Jefferson City, Missouri Wedding

We had been anxiously waiting for this wedding day all year! We knew from the moment we first met Neil and Christy, their day would be an unforgettable one!  After their amazing engagement session, we knew the wedding day would be one we wouldn’t soon forget. Neil and Christy shared a picture perfect wedding day! November 25 was a dream of a wedding day! From the unlikely warm November temperatures, the beautifully decorated Millbottom, to a couple madly in love, we couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Our morning began with gorgeous bridal details! We loved that all the details were simple, yet so timeless. We couldn’t get enough of her form fitted lace gown from Belle Mariee’ Bridal Boutique. The gorgeous gown fit Christy like a glove and the jeweled belt added a little bit of sparkle to finish off the look.

Christy has been one of the most organized brides we have ever had the pleasure of celebrating with. She thought of absolutely everything and then some on her wedding day. She is quite the crafty bride. She made the most adorable bridal shoes by adding some sparkle to a white pair of converse shoes. She finished the look by lacing the shoes with ivory ribbon. Christy wasn’t the only one wearing converse on the Big day; her bridesmaids and flower girls joined in and wore a variety of converse shoes as well; it was such a fun aspect of the day!

Christy was all smiles when it came time to get into the wedding gown. As her mom and sister helped her into the gown, Christy looked into the far mirror at the sight of herself as a bride. Her bridesmaids circled around her and helped with the finishing touches. Once the veil was in place, the room was full of laughter and genuine smiles as everyone admired the beautiful bride.   Christy’s mom led her dad into the room for a daddy-daughter first look. He anxiously waited for Christy to call his name. When Christy called out his name, he turned around, awestruck in that moment, at the sight of his first daughter as a bride. The two embraced and everyone in the room looked so happy! It was now time for the wedding ceremony.

The Millbottom looked absolutely gorgeous on their wedding day. Sheer fabric, glistening globe lights, and a chandelier were draped from the ceiling creating an elegant space. Greenery and roses adorned the wooden arbor. Gold backdrops added a little bit of sparkle to the space. Perfectly placed chairs created an aisle that was lined with little black lanterns.

Guests began to arrive one by one. The music began and grandparents and parents were seated. As the flower girls and ring bearer made their way down the aisle, Neil’s eyes lit up. Christy and her father rounded the corner and began their journey down the aisle. Both Christy and Neil smiled as her father walked her closer and closer to the alter.   The two shared in a lovely ceremony and spoke sweet words as they both read their own vows to one another.   Family and friends cheered as Christy and Neil shared their first kiss and were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Christy and Neil have an amazing group of friends. We enjoyed their bridal party so much. Everyone was so kind and welcoming to our team all day! They were such a fun group to work with and made our job extremely easy! Christy and Neil are an adorable pair! They perfectly complement each other! Neil’s quiet demeanor balances out Christy’s fun and outgoing personality.   You couldn’t find a couple more suited for one another. These two are the perfect match. The way they both light up when they are around each other is so refreshing to see. When we were photographing their bride & groom portraits, it’s as if they were lost in the moment with each other. It was so easy to capture their love. We just adore the romantic pair that is Neil and Christy!

The entire wedding day was great! From beginning to end, things couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Their reception celebration was no exception. They had a fun DJ who really got the party started for the night. DJ Missy had all the tricks up her sleeve to keep guests dancing on the dance floor all night long. DJ Missy even joined guests a few times on the dance floor to show off her moves. Don’t let Neil’s shy demeanor fool you! The DJ convinced Neil to do the dougie in front of guest. He really impressed everyone with his moves!

The day was a dream, and we couldn’t be any more thankful for the opportunity to document day one of their marriage. Christy and Neil, Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for trusting us to capture your very special day! We have truly enjoyed working with you during this special season of life. We hope your honeymoon is treating you well! Enjoy some of our favorites from their dream of a wedding day!
